Privacy Policy
Last updated: January 26, 2026
Remindly is designed with privacy as the default. This policy describes what data the Remindly mobile app (“the App”) collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding that data.
Short version
- We do not collect any personal data.
- We do not have user accounts or logins.
- We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
- All reminders you create are stored locally on your device. They never leave your device.
- Notifications are scheduled and delivered locally.
Data we store on your device
When you create a reminder, the App saves the following on your device only, using the operating system’s standard local storage (AsyncStorage on iOS and Android):
- Reminder title and optional notes you typed
- The date and time you scheduled
- Repeat preference (none, daily, weekly)
- Whether notifications are enabled for that reminder
- Completion status
- Created and updated timestamps
This data is never transmitted to Remindly or to any third party. Uninstalling the App removes all of it.
Data we do not collect
The App does not collect, transmit, or store any of:
- Your name, email address, phone number, or contacts
- Your location (precise or coarse)
- Photos, microphone, or camera input
- Device identifiers used for advertising
- Usage analytics, crash reports, or telemetry
- Browser history or other apps installed on your device
Permissions the App requests
The App may request the following permissions on your device:
- Notifications— used to deliver your scheduled reminders at the times you chose. You can revoke this permission at any time from your device’s Settings.
- Schedule exact alarms (Android)— used so that scheduled reminders fire at the exact minute you chose, rather than being batched by the operating system.
Third-party services
Remindly does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting services. The App may use Expo’s over-the-air update service to deliver app updates; this service does not receive personal data and only checks for new app versions.
Children's privacy
Remindly is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect information from any user, including children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change this policy, we will update the “Last updated” date above and post the revised policy at this URL before the change takes effect.
